In line with the expectations of our customers, we have launched a special service that enables the modification (upgrade) of the Sonel MPI-540 multifunction meter to the Sonel MPI-540-PV model. The PV model is a development of the basic model, especially designed to measure the parameters of photovoltaic installations.

Please note:
Meter modification is a service performed in the same way and on the same basis as a repair service order.
The upgrade service is performed on request after contacting and agreeing the conditions with the Sales Department
What is included in MPI-540 upgrade service?
The MPI-540 upgrade service includes:
1. Hardware modification,
2. The meter appearance adjustment: change of the sticker with the description of the test sockets,
3. Firmware update enabling additional measurements dedicated to photovoltaic installations:
short circuit current measurement on the DC side of PV installation (Isc),
open circuit voltage measurement on the DC side of the PV installation (Uoc),
insulation resistance measurement on the DC side of the PV installation (RisoPV),
work currents and powers measurement on both DC and AC side of the inverter and inverter efficiency (η, P, I),
databasebase of photovoltaic modules in the meter (user defined).

The new firmware of the meter and accessories dedicated to photovoltaic measurements are consistent with the description in the Sonel MPI-540-PV user manual.
