    • Description

The handy Sonel MIC-2510 insulation resistance meter is a worthy successor of the Sonel MIC-2500 meter, recognised among professionals. Developed on the basis of years of experience, the meter delivers even better performance and performs flawlessly in many areas.

The instrument passes the test flawlessly even when taking a large number of measurements. This is due to its ergonomic design and simple, intuitive operation that will not trouble even the novice operator. The setting of modes and measurement voltages is easily done via a rotary switch. This small, handy yet functional meter is a proven choice for electricity service personnel.

Main features and capabilities of the Sonel MPI-2510 meter:

      • measurement voltage selected 100, 250, 500, 1000, 2500 V or any adjustable voltage within the range 50...2500 V with a resolution of 10 V, continuous indication of measured insulation resistance or leakage current,
      • automatic discharge of the tested object capacitance at the time of completing the measurement,
      • determination of time intervals every 5 seconds, so it is possible to determine the time characteristics of the measured time T1, T2 and T3 for the measurement of one or two absorption coefficients from the range 1. ..600 s, automatic measurement of multiconductor cables allowed by additional AutoISO-2500 adapter,
      • indication of real measurement voltage during measurement, protection against measurements of live objects.

The Sonel MPI-2510 meter allows also for measurements of:

      • capacity with RISO measurement,
      • leakage current, continuity of protective and equalising
      • connections with current > 200 mA,
      • direct and alternating voltages,
      • temperature during insulation measurement (with use of external temperature probe ST-1).

Possibilities of the Sonel MIC-2510 meter The complexity of solutions used in the meter ensures high safety level, comfort of use and versatile applications. With the assistance of the Sonel MIC-2510 it is possible to program 3 lengths of time for insulation resistance measurements. In this way the instrument can also calculate 2 absorption coefficients (AB1, AB2 or DAR and PI). The instrument cooperates with the external AutoISO-2500 adapter, which enables automatic measurements of multicore cables and wires. The possibility of recording the measurement results in the device's memory and communication with a computer allow the creation of test protocols in an easy way.

      Work safety

The meter, together with the supplied equipment, has been designed to ensure a high level of work safety. Professional, superbly constructed accessories ensure operator safety during the test. Furthermore, the device has been equipped with additional solutions increasing safety, e.g. measurement blockade in the case of voltage exceeding 50V on the object. The meter discharges the object under test when the measurement is completed. The unquestionable advantage of this device is the combination of functionality and versatility with a favourable price.
